What you can expect

Experience the rich history and culture as you watch the Maori warriors paddle down Wai-o-Whiro stream, listen to the enchanting sounds of traditional instruments, and enjoy performances of the haka, poi dances, and more. Take a walk through the ancient forest and explore a fortified village, learning the old ways of living and survival of the Maori people. Discover Te Puna a Tuhoe, a sacred freshwater spring. The evening culminates with the magical glow worms lighting up the forest as night falls.

You'll also enjoy a delicious buffet of traditional hangi food from the Great Ocean of Kiwa. Savour meat, chicken, kumara, and more, cooked in an earth oven, which infuses the food with rich, earthy flavours after several hours. Come along with your family or friends and taste this delicious, authentic cuisine.
